My Portfolio (The Best Pieces)

This is a post directed at any potential employers. If you have received an application from me and are looking to review my best work, this is the place to do it.

The first is a series of characters I designed, illustrated and colored in Flash-- I am very skilled with the program and I always create quality work.

Next is my senior thesis film that I completed during my senior year at Loyola Marymount. It was animated entirely in Flash and composited/edited in After Effects and Final Cut Pro.

Next, is an animatic that I completed during my junior year at Loyola Marymount. It was illustrated entirely in Photoshop and was composited/edited in Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro.

Lastly, I have attached a game that I designed, illustrated, and actionscripted in Flash.

Drawlings: some touched up stuff, some new stuff.

All of this was done with the aide of a Cintiq in Flash.
The girl is actually based on a girl I once saw in a bowling alley who was actually that freaking colorful.

A Little Coloring Exercise...

I'm applying for a Flash job right now. So I figured I'd design and color a bunch of characters in Flash in an effort to show my potential employer my Flash skills. I don't know if I like this one or not. The colors seem too bland and I hate his right arm. Let me know what you think.

"Group Scareapy" at Funny or Die!

Hey, me and Tyler's thesis is film is available to view, here. So far we've had 75 views and we're at 100% funny. It was truly a labor of love and we hope you all enjoy it.

PS - Today is my birthday and my gift to myself is to not have to mess around with the scanner for a couple of hours, scanning in all my new drawings. Big post by the 12th. For serious.

Just a heads up...

Just headed home to Seattle for a couple of weeks. Don't have a scanner here, so expect to see a really large post sometime around the 28th. Sorry for the delay.

It's Pronounced "Rye-You"

Anybody that knows me, knows that my favorite thing in the world is "Street Fighter 2." This drawing has it's fair share of problems, but I think the concept is pretty funny-- I'm going to probably ink a finer version of this baby sometime in the near future.

This drawing is dedicated to Matt Bordenave, by the way. Just to prove that there is no such thing as a "Friendly game of Street Fighter."

I'm still alive!

Hey, everyone. So I haven't updated in over a year. Yeah, I know, I'm a big-time slacker. But gimme a break, I had a thesis animation to make, y'know? For the record, it turned out great and was pretty well-received. Based on the suggestion of the dean of LMU's School of Film and Television, my partner and I are going to try and turn our senior thesis (titled "Group Scareapy") into a web-series. Look for the pilot on FunnyorDie, YouTube, and a cavalcade of other sites.

Alright, that aside, here are some drawings I did tonight. Since school is over and I'm yet to find an employer, I'll be uploading new drawings EVERY FREAKING DAY. And if I don't, you can personally call me and verbally tear me a new one.

Anyway, here's the drawings. I was listening to the radio today and a song came on that began with the lyrics "Do you remember me? I killed your family." So I kinda tried to draw what I think the guy who said that would look like. Also, a caveman. Enjoy!
